Lake Sherwood Country Club

Land planning and engineering design, including entitlement approval and permit processing through to occupancy stage for this 1,922-acre custom estate home community. Over 600 homes grace the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus designed championship golf course.

Originally, Sherwood was a dry lake. The Haaland Group created an island within the lake, making use of the excavated dirt–an innovative, practical, and creative solution to both an engineering and environmental problem as well as an aesthetic concern. Additionally, The Haaland Group transformed what was thought to be unusable hillside terrain into a layered, stair-stepped housing area providing spectacular views from all units thereby raising the client’s return on each parcel of land.
